One of the biggest races of the year starts tomorrow in Napoli. Favorites include Marianne Vos (@marianne_vos)/Rabobank, Emma Pooley/AA Drink-Leontien.NL (@AADrinknews),  Judith Arndt/Orica-Greenedge (@Orica_GreenEDGE), Evelyn Stevens (@evelyn_stevens)/Specialized-Lululemon (@velociosports).

For English speaking fans, CyclingFever has a website dedicated to the Giro Donne. There you’ll find a race previewstage descriptions, maps and profiles, startlist,  prediction game, as well as history and other statistics.

There’s also a 2012 Giro Donne race preview by Monty on Podium Cafe including videos, a preview of the Giro Donne by Dave McPartland on ORICA GreenEDGE website, and a VeloNation preview by Ben Atkins.

To follow live on twitter: @Girodonne.

For post race news @WomensCycling@velowijf@_Pigeons_, @Cyclopunk, @_Gavia_

@_Pigeons_ has compiled a twitter list of tweeting Giro Donne 2012 riders and teams.

Amber Pierce (@ambermalika)/DiadoraPastaZara (@TeamDiadoraZara) is doing live video fan chats with @FujiBikes on Facebook after the stages. This was Friday’s URL. I don’t know if the same will work other days.

There is evening (georestricted) video coverage on RAI Sport website

You can find YouTube videos of the race on Cycling Fever.

There has been a huge amount of women’s racing this week, so I thought I’d update you on the results, and some other news, and then if we find more videos, we can add them to the comments - which is where any blogs, tweets and things will go too.

We’ve got results from the Netherlands, Italy, the UK and the USA, we’ve got Olympic team news, apocalyptic weather interrupting races, race video, the end of a dream and a whole load of funny faces! It’s all below the jump!

Women’s racing wins! Wild at RaboSter, Villumsen in Trentino, Simpson the Tour Series & Small at Nature Valley! - Podium Cafe

My race report, packed with videos, links to blogs, photos and fun quotes, of all the week’s women’s racing - RaboSter Zeeuwsche Eilanden, Giro del Trentino, the Tour Series and the Nature Valley Grand Prix.

It was a bit of a labour of love, so please click through and read it!

Video of Iris Slappendel after winning the RaboSter Zeeuwsche Eilanden prologue.  I don’t understand the Dutch interview, but she was looking so happy, it made me smile too!
